Oyo, Osun tumble as Abia tops WASSCE state performance
Abia, Rivers, Edo, Imo and Bayelsa have emerged the best performing states in the 2016 West African Senior School Certificate Examination. The quartet led the chart in the performance of school candidates who passed five subjects in the examination, including English and Mathematics, in 36 states, the Federal Capital Territory and the offshore countries of Equatorial Guinea, Guinea Republic and Cote D’Ivoire. Abia came out strong at 81.54 per cent, followed by Rivers State at 78.59 per cent.
